Nikon D7000 water resistance issue?

Does anyone know if it will be safe to use a D7000 outdoors in light rain, dampness, or snow? How water resistant will it be?

It should be fine in a light shower… I carry a rain cover just in case of downpours… You never know what you are going to get here in the UK…

Just don't let it get saturated… None of the weather resistant cameras like that.

Use a ziploc, if you need to shoot in rain
Weather sealed it is & I bet you will get to read so so many people use it in light rain. But then you also get to read the occasional horror stories

It is resistant to moisture, NOT water

You will still have to use something like a "rain sleeve" when shooting in severe weather.

You also have to consider protecting the lens.

When I spent nine and one half weeks sailing from Antigua to Fort Lauderdale on a 45 foot sailing vessel during hurricane season, I still had to protect my camera from direct spray and rain. Moisture resistant is NOT the same a waterproof. For shooting during storms, I used a 35 mm Nikonos, now that is a waterproof dive camera.
