Nikon D3100 Retouched Photos Not Showing up On Computer?

I just got a Nikon D3100 for Christmas, and I'm such a noob. I retouched a few photos using the in camera options, and then saved them on the camera. When I pull up the photos on the memory card on my computer the retouched photos are not showing up along with the rest of the photos. If I put the memory card back in the camera and view the photos on there, the retouched photos show up just fine. What in the world am I doing wrong?

Are you copying All the image files using your computers file manager to your computer to a new file folder named for the subject and date?

I just did a test and the retouched cameras using the retouch menu on the camera adds the new files to the end of the series of images you shot.

If you use the Nikon Transfer program that came with your camera, they will be downloaded just like the other images, without a doubt. They should also show when you use the Nikon NX2 program to view them. I know for a fact that Picasa will display all photos downloaded with the Nikon transfer program.
