Is Nikon 18-55mm vr lense good for shooting with nikon d3000 for beginner?

I'm a total beginner.
So yeah i want to buy the nikon d3000 and i'm considering to buy the 18-55mm vr lense for it, guz it seems pretty normal and its not expensive.
So is it good?

Yes. That's an excellent learning lens.

The 18-55mm is enough if you know exactly what to do with it.
