Is it safe to buy Nikon D3200 digital camera from Amazon.com?

I want to know, can I be sure that my camera will not be DAMAGED and will fully work? Or I need to buy it from Nikon official site?

Amazon actually consists of two services. Amazon itself and Amazon Marketplace.

The difference is that anything that Amazon sells is from their stock, and Marketplace items are from 3rd party sources, which can be either a company or individual.

If it is from Amazon itself, I would not worry. And Amazon has an aggressive policy that ensures Marketplace sellers are held to their same standards.

The only thing I would watch out for are individual sellers, that sell used items (which also show up in the Marketplace). I have seen some very inaccurate descriptions.

If you look at the used descriptions, it could be disclosed the item is missing parts, similar but not exact, etc. So you have to get into the minutia to really know what you are buying.

Again, this only pertains to the used items in the Amazon Marketplace. Anything else is OK.

However, Amazon has outstanding customer service, and will help you if you have any issue with the purchase you are making from a 3rd party vendor.

Yes if there's damage send it back they will wrap it in bubble wrap and make sure it is secure

AMazon are a very good supplier with customer service second to none.
Chances of it arriving damaged are small. If it happens then Amazon will replace it real quick - no questions asked.

For one thing, some of the accessories are cheap junk. Also, if you have a problem with anything, you might not be able to get a refund unless you return EVERYTHING.

Yes, they are safe. I bought a camera from them before and received it in just a few days. It was well packed and there was no damage to the box inside.
If there's any damage, you can return it.
Prices on the Nikon web site are much higher than any where else.
