HOW to turn my nikon d3000 on?
Ok I know there's a button that says on off, I turn it on but I can't see anything on my screen, it keeps showing me information, what do i press so I can see what I'm looking at on my SCREEN!
I have a d3100 so I don't know if its the same but to the right if the screen there's a button with a red circle above that is a lever type thing flick that to use live display
I have the same camera as you and you can't see anything through the screen - you simply just have to look through the view finder
You can view back the photos you take on the screen though!
Maybe reading the instructions (download them if you don't have them) and understanding your camera might help - many high end DSLRs are exactly that, the screen is only for display - you have to use the eyepiece.
It could be broken or needing updated?
You can't see the picture on the screen because the D3000 doesn't have Live View. Nikon released the D3000 without video caapability and Live View at a time when those features were being demanded by consumers - a major blunder. Nikon quickly discontinued the D3000 and released the D3100 with Live View and video capability.
