How to get my Nikon D3200 to focus again?
I was messing with some of the settings, and now the beeping sound is gone and it does not focus on anything.
Hopefully you were messing around with your user manual in hand
You obviously shut off the in-focus beep, so that is one thing.
You probably also set your camera to manual focus and/or the lens to manual focus.
If you download your user manual (a PDF file), you can search the document for specific items like manual focus, auto-focus and things like auto-focus assist lamp.
I don't know what exactly you did so it's hard to help. Maybe you switched it to manual focus, in which case it won't do it automatically and there's no beep. Use the manual to see how to set it back to autofocus.
If nothing helps, then just go into the menu and reset the shooting and setup options.
High on the list of possibilities could be that you switched the autofocus on the lens from A to M. If so, switch it back to A.
If that is not the answer:
In some modes it will do continuous autofocus. It will not bleep, but it should autofocus.
If the settings are hopelessly messed up, search your user manual for reset.

Get out the manual, read it.
