How does the introduction of my essay sound?

I know my thesis needs work, please give me any kind of critique on my essay. It is a persuasive essay, and i know many will have your own opinions on the topic, this is my opinion.

For example, Nikon is a multinational corporation that specializes in professional imaging products whose prices can range from an expensive $3,000 to a reasonable $200. Nikon is known for their professional high quality cameras and is a very popular brand with amateur videographers. Nikon has some of the best affordable cameras you can buy, including the Nikon D3100. The Nikon D3100 is simple to use and light in weight so it is not so strenuous to carry around and captures fantastic HD footage. The Nikon D3100 is one of the best cameras for non professionals and is available for a reasonable price. The Nikon D3100 is the best affordable video camera for amateur videographers.

Very poor. Word choice [find something besides COPIOUS], sentence structure, punctuation all need improvement and duplications [highlight every usage of Nikon D3100] should be held to a minimum. You also seem to jump from camera (which makes most people think of an SLR, and a video camera - to make movies).
