How to shoot self timer with burst mode in Nikon D40?

I really wanted to be in the photo when I picture with my friends. Sometimes I use the self timer mode, but I would still wait for 10 seconds just to capture one shot. Now, I want to know how to take photos in burst mode with self timer in D40

There's no way to do this.

You could get a $2 infrared remote for it on ebay though.

In timer mode, only one shot at a time. Get the Nikon ML-L3 remote. Only $15.
