Good camera for shooting action shots?

I'm looking to buy a camera so i can shoot good action shots. (ex: pets, sports, people, wildlife.etc)

My price range would be $500 and down.

i've been looking at the nikon d3200, cannon rebel t3i, or the nikon d5100.

i'm new to this, so i just wanted to know what some of you camera experts think.

Also, is a shutter speed of 1/4000 per second good? Because some reviews are saying that its slow? Would these cameras not be good for action shots then?

One last question, when i buy a camera, does the lens come with it or do i buy that on its own?

Go pro is another valid option. Amazing quality higher than 1080p

All of those cameras will do exactly what you need, as long as you take the time to learn the settings, shoot in RAW and on manual and edit well afterwards.

1/4000 is pretty standard, and in fact a lot of the time you will never touch a shutter speed that high. I photograph fast jets often and need to freeze the action but I only need around 1/800 to do that, 1/4000 would just produce a black image in all but the most exceptional light conditions.

For the lens, you usually get three packs, body only (no lens), one lens, or two lenses.

Any DSLR will suit you (Sony's SLTs aren't so hot due to their electronic viewfinders).

Find a dealer and look at what Pentax, Nikon and Canon have to offer, choosing the one that feels best in your hands.

Canon eos 60d is better for you.
