Nikon SLR Cameras

Do entry level dslr cameras go on sale during black friday in the U?

In such places as amazon, currys and argos? I'm looking into the Nikon D3200 or the Canon 600D. Mainly for taking family pictures outdoors etc.

Maybe, but usually dSLR cameras are already at their lowest prices (Nikon D3200 is about $480) and the only thing you will find on Black Friday are deals which include inexpensive accessories for the camera; memory card(s), small camera bags, cheap tripods, etc

Not really. You might find a few flash sales to invited customers only via email subscriptions which have extremely limited numbers of those items on a loss-leader basis, but there's simply so little profit margin in them already that large discounts only come when suppliers are disposing of old obsolete stock and ex-display items. But those kinds of discounts occur throughout the year.

Black Friday really isn't something which has caught on in a big way in the UK so far, but as has already been said, what you will find will be the accessories where there's a lot more margin to be able to cut prices.

They can, it's hard to say if they will though. In addition to the camera that you listed, take a look at the Pentax K50 which in many ways is better than the D3200 or 600D.

No, but dealers often knock something off discontinued models at any time.

Look at the Pentax K-30, a far better camera than either the Nikon D3100 or Canon EOS 550D - people who only look at Nikon and Canon are beneath contempt.

Maybe.

It depends on the store.

In my experience, the answer is NO!
DSLRs are much in demand and so the sellers do not need to reduce prices.
You might be lucky and find a bargain or two but probably not.
