Canon EOS 60D DSLR or Nikon's D7000?

I want a camera that's very good in low light situations, a camera that can take fast movements pictures (example: taking pictures of someone on a whitewater rafting), weddings, portraits, scenery. And also has a good battery life.
Which one will be best? I'm starting a new venture as a photographer but do not have enough money to buy the best and expensive camera.

Either will do then you will need at least three lenses for your requirements and a flash gun

I'd take the Pentax K-30 over either, but your best bet is to find a dealer and handle them.

Start with body and standard lens first and add kit as your experience grows.

I agree with Andrew - especially if you plan to take it white water rafting. The K-30 is fully weather sealed and so is the 18-135 kit lens. The two Canikon cameras you mentioned have a little bit of weather sealing, but it's not nearly as good as the Pentax K-30s.

Between These two i would certainly choose the D7000
