Canon 5D3 vs Nikon D700?

Okay, I wanted to know which of these two is the best for over-all photos. I do not care at all about video, since I know the D700 has no video. My main thing when it comes to photos is noise performance and image quality. Also I want a Full Frame camera. I shoot mostly landscapes. Sometimes people and animals (always with the rules of 3rds). I don't plan to buy any of these cameras anytime soon, since I'm still learning photography. But I just want to keep my eyes open and learn about these pro-level camera, for when the time comes to up-grade.

P.S.

Overall for stills only, the D700 wins hands down. Compare RAW files and the Sony sensor in the D700 wins. The D700 has a more robust body and weather sealing. And the price difference is huge. A used Nikon D700 can go anywhere from 1, 300 US dollars to 1, 800 US dollars. The 5D III is new and going to cost about 3, 500 US dollars. The D700 wins. Only go with the mark III if you were going to make really big prints, and if low light high ISO wasn't crucial.

To save money, if you were thinking about new, the Canon 6D and Nikon D600 are better choices.
