Can you upload that are not from your camera phone?

I'm new to Instagram, and want to upload photos I have taken from my Nikon D40 camera to my new account. Is Instagram only for camera phone photos? Can I email a photo from my camera and upload it on Instagram?

No you can upload photos from your camera as long as you can get to the photo from your phone or computer. Also try uploading the photo to your computer and uploading it to Instagram from there

Apparently Instagram is only on APPLE and ANDROID smart devices. Only way to upload photo from your camera onto Instagram is to save all photos onto a computer and put it onto your smart device. From there uploaded onto instagram.
