Auto Lens for Nikon D3000- wedding?

Looking for a good lens to rent for a wedding for my Nikon D3000. That will work in low lighting areas and give great images. Also I don't want anything that you need to do manual work with but still has auto focus and VR on it.

Here's the catch. Low light lenses have large apertures, low f/numbers. Large aperture lenses are prime lenses, no zoom. You'll be forced to swap lenses now and then from wide to normal to short tele than back all over again. At large apertures in low light, autofocus is useless. You'll have to manually focus to get it right.

That's why I don't go for art with weddings. I go for documentation and make sure I get each and every part with a flash and a small enough aperture to get everyone in it sharp and clear. I haven't had any complaints yet.

1) You can get great results with your kit lens, 18-55mm? And a decent flash. I just shot a wedding using a Digital Concepts 918AF Flash.

2) The Nikkor 18-200mm lens has been used successfully at weddings. With a flash.
