Facebook won't let me upload a video?

Normally uploading vids is no problem for me, but I accidentally recorded a video on my Nikon without the memory card in it. Now when I connect it to the computer with the USB cable and try to upload it to facebook, I get the "bad image" message. I even e-mailed the video to myself and saved it to my computer, but I got the same message. What's the deal? Computers for dummies speak too, please.

Also, I have no clue what format the video is in - when I click properties on it, the file type just shows "file" if that helps any.

Your last statement tell me then that this is a file with an unknown extension video? As opposed to vide.avi or *.mp4 which would be recognized as video files.

So what i'm saying is the file is probably corrupted and unusable.
