Yes. Btw Tamron lenses are brill but cheaper and equally good lenses are sigma lenses, have a look online for them.

You don't save money buying a cheaper lens that produces empty magnification at the longer focal lengths. It just squanders money that might have been saved toards something good.

I have the Nikon 18-200mm VRII lens and it is a very good lens, but at $800 it is not cheap. You can buy a refurbished 18-200mm - which is the new model (same one as I have) for under $600 US:

Not sure what you can find in refurbished lenses in your country, but I would rather buy the better Nikon lens that is factory refurbished than the Tamron.
