Why are my photographs blurring? Best anwser?

I have a Nikon d5100 (pretty sure that's what it is). My pictures tend to be blurring when there's even little movement how can I prevent that. Any tips on customizing settings I haven't gotten the hang of that yet. I'm sixteen also

It is not a matter of customizing settings.

What it is, is two things

1) for now, set your lens so it is in the VR mode and make sure that for a while, you shoot at shutter speeds of 1/250th second or faster.
2) look on page 26 in the user manual to learn how to hold the camera to prevent camera movement while hand holding the camera

The goal is to learn how to use your cameras manual controls and the cameras light meter to pick the best exposures at settings which allow you to hand hold the camera without it causing blur due to the cameras movement during exposure
