The wide angle lens that I bought, and like, for my Nikon D90 is the Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8. It has been quite sharp and met or beat the specs of similar lenses.

For a macro lens, I found all the good ones way too expensive. Look into extenders.

RetiredPhil is correct.

The two Nikkor wide angle zooms cost from $900 to nearly $1,200.

Tokina is the best third party lens makers which supply lenses for Nikon and Canon cameras

If you have the kit lens, then you already have one. The kit lens is wide angle from about 24mm down to 18mm. If you want wider, prepare to splurge!
