Actually, the 0.35x is just an add-on filter, not a lens So, without a lens to mount the filter on, you have nothing but a camera body. I hope you are not paying more than $200 for the D50, body only. You can find them with a lens for about $250.

Opteka does make 6.5 mm fisheye lens that will work perfectly on your D50. Plan on paying about $300 for the fisheye lens.

No it won't. That Opteka thing is a screw-in/screw-up filter attachment that screws into a normal lens. You need a lens with a Nikon mount.

For the best prices of DSLR Nikons ---abesofmaine.com, bhphotovideo.com---try the Nikon p500, or Coolpix with zoom lens features so the price won't drain your wallet

The D50 is a DSLR camera, and DSLR cameras come in multiple parts. The camera body requires a proper lens as a minimum requirement for operation, the D50 would have originally been kitted with an AF-S Nikkor 18-55mm f3.5-5.6G, but there are many other suitable Nikkor lenses, any AF-Nikkor or AF-S Nikkor lens will work.

The 0.35x lens is a screw in adapter lens to convert a lens to a fisheye field of view, and you have to have a lens to attach it to for it to work.
