Nikon lens mount issue?

When i try to mount my Nikon 24-70 lens on my D600 I have noticed some resistance. It feels like there's some friction when I twist the lens. I tried mounting a tamron 70-200 vc but its pretty smooth, so its most likely that there's an issue with the lens. I was changing lenses often these last few days, maybe i damaged it. I haven't noticed this problem until now. The lens still functions btw. So what do you guys think it might be? Do you think that i need to send my lens for repairs?
Any advice is appreciated.

Some of my lenses have more resistance when mounting than others. Don't have the Nikon 24-70mm so I can't report on it. But all my lenses have some resistance for the last bit of the twist.

I would take the 24-70 mm lens into a proper camera shop and have them attach and detach the lens.

Some lenses have a slightly tighter fit and older or non Nikkor lenses, but I would want a second opinion.

Does the surface of the lens mount on your 24-70 mm lens have any roughness to it when you run your finger around it?

I have 4 (D)SLR bodies and half a dozen lenses. Most lenses fit all 4 cameras smooth as silk. One or 2 lenses on 1 or 2 of the cameras offer a little resistance and feel as though there's grit in the mount.

Nothing to worry about - it is down to manufacturing tolerances - if the lens bayonet and lens throat are both at the top end of tolerance the lens will be a tight fit. Don't worry about it!
