My Nikon D70 screen is black all the time?

Yesterday, I got a Nikon D70 from my uncle (not brand new either). He mentioned that he couldn't use the screen and since I'm a first time camera user I didn't think it was a big deal… But now that I know, IT IS! I can't view or delete photos, use the settings, or even some of the buttons on the camera cause of it! What can I do?!

Sounds like the screen is bad and needs to be repaired or replaced. You are right, the camera is useless without the screen.
