Is the nikon d90 still a good dslr?

Is the nikon d90 still a good dslr? - 1

Of course it is.

Very much so.
It's better built than the D7xxx series that replaced it, and many still want one.

I have birder friends who are still using their old Nikon D90's attached to a 70-300 mm lens. This has been a great combination for what they do.
The Nikon D90 was the first digital SLR to have a video feature.

Definitely. I'd much rather have a D90 instead of the new low-end ones. The performance of the D90 is also one of the reasons why I bought a second hand Canon 550D which is the Canon equivalent instead of the newer ones which sacrifice more important features such as back button focus and accessory compatibility.

Any camera that works is better than none.
No camera that works properly is ever truly "out" in any sense.

Yes, it is. And no, it's NOT better than the Nikon D7*** bodies.

Well, my Nikon D90 is still a good DSLR. If you can find a new one, that would be good. Maybe better is a refurbished one. Lacking those, getting a used one from a vendor that stands behind the product, such as KEH.com, may be your best bet.

If it works - yes.
