I was playing around with my dads camera just taking some selflies. But all of sudden self timer came on and I'm not sure how I did it? Is there one button you can press to turn it on and off please help. Also I didn't go into the menu or anything so it must be one or two buttons?

On the top of the camera right next to the top LCD you will see a button that has three symbols on it. One symbol has what looks like a bunch of pictures on it and the other two are a clock symbol and a remote symbol. Push the button and hold it down while moving the rear command dial (the dial you use to change shutter speed). On the top LCD you will see the symbol's appearing on the screen. Move the dial till you see a square with an "S" inside it. The "S" stands for single shot mode.
