How much can I sell a Nikon d70 for?

I have a Nikon d70 with a wide angle lens, a memory card, and a battery and charger. My photography professor estimated between $200 and $300 but not sure if that is correct. Anyone know?

Looks like your professor was pretty close. Find sites where they sell used cameras and see what their prices are.

Keep in mind that if you sell it to a reseller, you will probably only get about half of what the going price is.

Probably closer to $200.

I own a D70 - well, I gave it to my youngest son. It is a very nice camera, especially when it made it's debut in 2004. But it is pretty dated these days.

However, as a tool for someone to learn on, it is still an excellent camera for that. And it will still product better photos than any compact camera or cell phone.

It had a pretty good lens for a "kit" lens, and the lens is probably worth more than the camera. Or if you upgraded to a "wide angle lens", depending on the lens, you may get more for just the lens alone.
