What you think of my photos?

Hi please have a look at the photos i have on my facebook page and let me know what you think. I have recently started photography and going on few courses next month. I'm new to it. All i have is a Nikon D70 and a flash gun. No other studio lights or background stuff.

I don't go "off page" here and I find the responses to such queries her to be flip and cruel. Get a Flikr account, you will get better feedback from a group of like-minded photographers.

Very good beginning, although I can see where you will definitely benefit from formal training, although I'm a bit confused by the hubris of your opening personal statement.

I would get a flickr account and you will get more comments much quicker as that is a photography website, the professionals will be able to comment.
Not many people go away from this website anyway, maybe upload your photos?

Good luck with your pictures and training. I don't want to discourage you. I can't say much about your pictures other than that it's obvious that you are a beginner. You will learn a great deal about lighting and composition in time. Shoot a lot and learn the technical end of photography. Look at the best magazines and try to shoot pictures to their standards.

I see issues with lighting and white balance. It looks like you are into studio work. You should look into flash studio lighting equipment. I really like Alien Bees. To properly light that white background you are going to need two lights flashing on the background and your subject away from the background with a main light on the subject. This is so the background looks white instead of gray. Look into a lighting class and maybe, a basic photography class (to brush up on white balance), and a photoshop / post processing class (this can help you learn to fix the color after the fact if you shoot RAW). Keep it up! Your classes will help you a lot.

Boring.
You don't need a good camera nor good studio lighting.
All you need is a good eye and passion.
Also, on your page there's written Professional Photographer? How can you say when you just started out?
