Gary Fong Lightsphere vs Rouge Flash Benders? (shadow problem)?

I'm using Girlfriend's Lightsphere and like it but the only problem is when I tilt my camera vertical, I see the vivid shadow on one side of the model, however all horizontal shots are shadowless. Is there a way to avoid the shadows? I'm using a Nikon 24-70 and D90.

Also, can Rouge Flashbender shoot without shadows? How does it work?

With the Lightsphere, simply turn the head of your flash 90 deg when you go vertical so that the flash continues to point up in the air.
