D90 for Monocular Microscopes?

I have a nikon d90 and would like to use it for photographing slides in a monocular microscope, because our university does not provide pictures of the slides. But i can't seem to use it like a digital camera by just pointing it at the eyepiece and shooting. Any idea how i may produce pictures, preferably of high quality, by using my slr?

The best thing to do is check with your local Scientific equipment house if you have one to find a microscope to camera adapter.
Don't be surprised if you find the prices run from $400 to $1, 500+… Depending on the camera AND the microscope.
