Best lenses Under $200$ for Nikon D5000?

I'm a Nikon d5000 user and I think I'm outgrowing the basic lens that came with the camera so can someone tell me some great ones for under $200 that I can get, don't mind filter packages advice either.

It's like I always say, when you want something better than what you have, set a budget lower than the thing you have.

If you mean by outgrow do you mean you feel like you need more zoom or you need a wider angle lens? Try the 55-200

The best lens for your money is This: https://www.amazon.com/...004Y1AYAC/
Remember you HAVE to get the AF-S for your D5000, if you don't it won't autofocus.
Read the reviews on amazon, the image quality matches the Nikkor $1500 zooms.

Best way to learn the holy trinity of photography (Shutter speed, Aperature and ISO) is by buying a prime lens. Luckily the Nikon DX format has a 35mm 1.8g. Only for $200.

Depends if you prefer a wideangle zoom, standard zoom or telephoto zoom… Or the fourth option, a 'fast' prime lens like a 50mm f1.8 or 35mm f1.8
Decide which of those and then ask the question again.

When you buy a DSLR, you need to consider the total cost of ownership, When it comes to lenses, add a zero to your budget. Simply put, there are no "best" lenses under $200.
In fact, the only lens you can even buy for your camera under $200 is the Nikon AF-S 35mm f/1.8 G DX - priced at $199.99, which in itself is not a bad lens if you want a prime.
Even a 50mm lens is going to cost more than $200 as your camera can't autofocus on the Nikon AF 50mm f/1.8D; that is only possible with the $219 Nikon AF-S 50mm f/1.8G.
If you want a good lens package, the following is the most inexpensive premium lens set for your camera:
Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 ($650)
Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8 (%560)
Sigma 50-150mm f/2.8 ($950) or Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 ($1,200)
Or, if you do not have a need for low-light or indoor sports, you can substitute the last lens with the Nikon AF-S 70-300mm f/4.5~5.6 ($580).
Even then, you will want to supplement these lenses if you have any special requirements; portraiture, fisheye, macro, etc.

I have this camera, and have been very happy with it.
I've found the 18-55mm & 55-200mm VR lens take care of most of my needs. The next lens I'll consider is the 50mm 1.8.
