Nikon SLR Cameras

Do Nikon cameras come with a software similar to Canon EOS Utility?

I'm thinking of purchasing a Nikon and was wondering if it came with a program like EOS Utility.

For downloading and working with images, Nikon cameras typically come with ViewNX 2. There's also a program called Capture NX-D that was recently released:

They also make a program called Camera Control Pro 2 for tethering/remote operation. I'm not certain if it comes with the newer cameras. If it doesn't it can be purchased.

There's a freeware option called digiCamControl: http://digicamcontrol.com/

ANY digital camera comes with proprietary software - most of us use third-party versions, though.

A word of warning;

If you're thinking of switching to Nikon because your Canon DSLR isn't doing what you want it to, don't. A Nikon, Pentax or Sony will do exactly the same job as a Canon, and the same problems will apply to any camera you buy until you learn to use it properly.

The fact that you had to ask this simple question, and only know Canon and Nikon, are strong indicators that you're blaming your camera for your lack of skill and experience.
