Besides the obvious f/ stop.

What are the PQ differences in the two lenses… Are the aspherical qualities or weather resistance better? Is the Bokeh crazy better?

I have gone through reviews, and lenshero and all sorts of info but don't have a clear enough answer to justify the $$$ between them.

(Side note)

What about the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 EX DC HSM?

The 24mm 1.4L will have the better picture quality than the 28 1.8 non L. It is way more expensive, and I think it does employ more aspherical elements. It is build better as well, but miles bigger. On such a wide angle lens, you will rarely get too much out of focus, so I wouldn't bother with it. When you do get bokeh on the 28, it is decent enough in my experience.

I would stay away from the sigma. The image quality isn't bad, it is just that 3rd party lenses never hold their value.
