Can you be non-telegenic (ugly on video) but good-looking in real life?

I decided to do a video with me and friends and I looked HORRIBLE! My face looked washed out, my nose looked bigger than what it is, my eyes appear smaller and I look 10X my age. Is this how I really look? I look BAD in certain lighting, but all my friends appear the same. I DO NOT like what I see, and now my self-esteem is SHOT! Please Help! Guys don't really approach me in real life and one girl called me ugly before, I came to the realization that maybe I'm. I'm underweight though, and I think on video it just makes me look MORE sickly than what I look like in real life.

I use a NIKON 5X OPTICAL ZOOM 6.3-31.5mm camera. What does that mean?

White balance settings and lighting can make a big difference in how good or bad a person looks in a video or still photo. You might try to play around with the settings to see if you can improve the conditions that way. Generally, I think we're all more critical about our own looks than about the looks of others around us. Actors are also notorious for looking for their best side or best pose and they try to avoid getting pictures taken of them from angles that they think makes them look ugly. You may have a more pleasing angle or viewpoint too. You might compare photo techniques.
