Just wondering, it is lightly raining out, and supposed to continue, can i use my Nikon D7100 in light rain without worrying it will get ruined?

Place it in an upside down plastic bag. Cut a hole for the lens and rubber band it around that lens add a small hole for the eye piece. Any electrical parts will keep dry. They also sell very cheap "raincoats" for cameras.

To my knowledge, that camera is not designed in any way to be weather resistant. I highly suggest you do as Perki stated. It woks well, I have done that myself using a large Ziplock bag. You usually do not even have to cut a hole for the eyepiece. You can see through the bag well enough. I also suggest that you use a hood on the lens and securely attach the bag to the end of the hood instead of directly on the lens. Be sure your lens is not one that rotates as it focuses.
