No, the D5200 doesn't have 'bluetooth' connectivity.

You could send an image with a wi-fi adapter that plugs into the D5200

How do I blame the camera makers for putting in more and more of bells and whistles into their gear when there's a market waiting to be tapped

Have some patience, won't be long before you will get to see a DSLR with all sorts of connectivity, internet included that makes phone calls too, maybe plays some games too and what not
except take good shots

I've heard that Ricoh were working on a dish-washing attachment and Samsung are running pilot tests on a child-minding app.

Rumours of a dog-walking adapter seem to be - at present - unfounded.

You need the WU1a adapter from Nikon, which turn the camera into a Wi-Fi hotspot. You can then connect your iOS/Android smartphone/tablet to the camera:

Or if you want bluetooth connectivity, then you need the CamRanger, which not only does what you want, but gives you full control over your camera:

Sean… How about if they made a slot on the back of DSLRs that you could dock your cellphone into. No need for an LCD then… Never forget to take your phone either ;-)?

For now there's wi-fi.
