Best Nikon lens for travel?

I will be traveling to Hawaii this summer with family and will be taking my Nikon D7100. I have a few lenses already which include a 35mm 1.8, 100mm 2.8, and a 10-24 3.5-4.5. What I'm looking for is something that can take good wide angle landscape shots, but portraits as well. Telephoto capabilities are not too much of a concern for me. Not too interested in switching and carrying around extra lenses.

Thanks in advance for feedback and suggestions.

A lens that is very popular in the community is the 18-200mm. I can't testify to this so I don't know. It all depends on your budget. If you want the top of the line wide angle shots go for the 14-24mm I think it is. The one that starts with 14 or the one that starts with 16mm. They are some of the sharpest glass I have ever seen. But if you are on a tighter budget, than maybe a 24mm or 20mm prime lens would be better. What I have is an 18-55mm kit lens. The newer one. I got it refurbished and it works great for most situations.

The 18-105mm would be good for both wide angle and portrait, and is reasonably priced. I have had that lens and found it very versatile. I had to replace the camera and got the D7100 it with the 18-140mm lens and I find it slightly more versatile, but then I use the tele end a lot, so the 18-105mm may be a more cost effective answer for you.

Didn't your camera come with an 18-55mm/18-105mm? - exactly what you'd need.

Travel lenses will weigh more than 15oz and therefore not only compromise image quality but also compromise ease of carrying around. Think about taking your 10-24mm and also getting a 50mm f1.8G for the people and detail shots. (only weighs 6oz).
