Are you a Nikon or Canon person?

And why!

Nikon. More bang for your buck, cooler features, user friendly, etc. :]

Both. I have an old Nikon FE and an old Canon EX (both film cameras) and while I rarely shoot film anymore, they're both great cameras and I've done a lot of good work with both of them. For the last few years I've been using a Canon Power Shot, and I'm quite happy with it. I wouldn't mind giving a Nikon digital camera a try, though. I also have a Sony Cyber-Shot, and it's great for snapshots.

The are both excellent tools
Are you a Snap-On or Mac Tool person. The same question but a different field of endeavor.
If you need low noise at high ISO, at this time (and since the introduction of the Nikon D3, China Olympics), Nikon has the edge. Otherwise both camera systems have over 60 lenses to choose from and cameras costing from $650 (entry level dSLR's) to over $7, 000 (professional grade cameras).
Which you choose will have more to do with how each feels in your hands when you visit a proper camera shop and what your independent research shows you. Asking for opinion is not a good business model when buying any tool

I'm over it,
because they just tools to me

I've heard Canon has gorgeous color where Nikon has sharper images.
I'm a Nikon gal. I've never used Canon except in point & shoots.

Canon, because I started out with a Canon Ftb and yeah. At this point in the camera world I don't think it makes too much of a difference anymore because a lot of the cameras at this point share similar/if not the same sensors, it just comes down to personal preference.

Me? I'm a Pentax person… But that's just me.

Neither! I own a Pentax DSLR, a Sony DSLR, a Pentax 35mm SLR, Olympus 35mm SLR, and a Kodak 35mm viewfinder. I do have a slight preference to Pentax, but I try to use whatever I get my hands on. I'm not a brand fanboy.

Canon.
Because the first camera someone bought for me as a gift was a Canon, and that is what I'm used to.

I started with Canon, and they were good. Now I use Nikon, and they're good. Very good, actually.

Nikon all the way. Even though Canon produces some amazing camera's, its all about the photographer. Both are amazing

I like Canon. Why? I don't really know why. I started out with a Pentax but switched to Canon a little while ago. I think it's just because the first photographer I really looked up to used Canon. And probably because one time I picked up a Nikon and couldn't figure out the menus.
But at the end of the day, it doesn't matter. They're both cameras that take pictures when you press the shutter button.

I prefer the Nikon ergonomic and the ability to use the rear curtain sync, something that can't be achieve so easily with Canon if you don't have the right gear. Apart from that I can have allot of fun using both brand.
