I'm looking for a camera that has a flip-out screen so you can see yourself and is easy to carry and is portable. (preferably a canon or nikon). And I'm also look for a good lens that can focus on you with a movie-looking blurry background. Price range $400-$900.

Of the digital SLR cameras made by Nikon and Canon, the Nikon D5500 and Canon 750D would fit into the last part of your requirements, however, it is usually best to use a real video camera when shooting video for Youtube for many reasons.

A good JVC, Panasonic, Sony or Canon camcorder would be my choice if I were going to produce Youtube videos

Just so you know how the sensors of those two cameras compare, take a look at the link below.

With that price range, you have a lot of options. For ease, a camcorder is better. Nikon doesn't have a traditional camcorder. If you're ambitious, you can use an SLR with an articulating screen. Again, there are a lot of options in your price range in both Canon and Nikon. Stick with the kit lens until you have a clear reason to get something else.

For example, if you want to make the background blurry, you can buy a 50mm prime lens for about $100.
