Any goo deals on a beginner dslr?

I'm looking to shoot people, sports, nature, a random assortment of things. My budget is $300. I would prefer over 7 megapixels.

Your budget is unrealistic for a new DSLR. Perhaps have a look for a used/second hand camera.

Nikon D3100, Canon 450D, Pentax K10D, Sony Alpha A200, you should be able to pick any of these fairly cheap.

You won't get a DSLR for $300 unless you go used - don't buy without a warranty.

As two of our more advanced, knowledgeable and experienced photogs have said, your budget is unrealistic, and you won't find a good or new DSLR for $300. Personally, I wouldn't buy a DSLR camera that sells for $300; you get what you pay for. Save your money and when you're ready, get a good, used camera with a kit lens at a reliable camera shop that will also give you a reasonable warranty (heck, I want a brand new Porsche but all I can afford is a badly used scooter).
