A quality Nikon camera under $300?

So I saw I was really interested in doing photography lately on my iPhone 5s and I wanted to do something more practical than taking them on a phone. I was looking at Nikon cameras which I prefer over any other, I also want really nice HD pics with lots of cool filters and effects, I'm not crazy about having the best zoom in the world but quality zoom is preferred, and I want one with lots of space for pics AND video. I do want one preferably under $300 and over $270 is a bit much for the budget I have but please help I don't have experience with cameras

While Nikon's DSLRs are as good as anyone else's (and out of your budget), their bridge and compact models are either good, but expensive (P-series) or absolute junk (L-series).

You'd be better off with a Fujifilm, or maybe a Panasonic, if you're going for a bridge camera, just do yourself a favour and look for a model that has a viewfinder.

Andrew is correct, there are none. Quality is expensive. In photography good starts at about $600 and great starts at about $4,000 so take your pick.
